Looking for a new kind of plant to shake up your shade gardens? This spring flowering perennial will certainly add new texture and color elements to your landscape. 'Pink Champagne' produces flowers with white spurs and raspberry centers. Compared to 'Domino', 'Pink Champagne' has more dramatic pink tones. The delicate-looking flowers have an airy feel, making it the perfect contrast to other shade items like Hosta. Its evergreen leaves are mottled green with dark burgundy. This is a very vigorous variety. Epimediums are uncommon on the market and in high demand.
Epimedium are one of the few plants capable of surviving in dry shade. Although slow to establish, mature plants will not be missed in the landscape, particularly when in flower. These plants are appreciated for their durability and critter resistance, but loved for the long sprays of jester hat-like flowers in spring. (Source: Walters Gardens, Inc.)
