Pinus mugo (Mugho Pine) 'Valley Cushion'

One of the very smallest of the dwarf pines, this variety develops its extremely dense and compact mounded shape very slowly over many years. It will grow its emerald green foliage to be about 3 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 feet, and is a superb choice for miniature effect in rock or alpine gardens.

This shrub should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers dry to average moisture levels with very well-drained soil, and will often die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH, and is able to handle environmental salt. (Source: Gertens)
